More fun facts for ya:
I was born with a congenital limb difference, meaning my left hand is M.I.A;
When I was in reception in school, I used to bury my pointless yellow prosthetic doll arm in the sand because it freaked other kids out;
I have a degree in Illustration and Animation from Kingston University (graduated in 2013);
I have a PGCE in secondary art and I am currently teaching in Pembrokeshire.
Okay, okaaay, I’m finally giving in and admitting (to myself!) that my limb difference does impact me every day. Phew! I said it! SO. I’m on a journey to become part robot!
Ultimately I hope this will help me to:
Correct my wonky posture;
Access more exercise opportunities, including weight training;
Do more everyday things (open bottles AWAY from my body, hold my son’s hand AND hold a drink/adjust the strap of my bag, hold a dustpan and brush at the same time!);
Help me to protect my right hand and arm from fatigue and repetitive strain type injuries.
